The two summer window is not yet open but Europe's biggest clubs are already making moves. Arsenal have been given permission to schedule a medical for Martin Zubimendi after triggering his £51million release clause, while a move for a much-needed striker appears to have come down to Benjamin Sesko, who will cost £92.5m. There is also interest in Leroy Sane on a free, who Tottenham have been offered. Chelsea have now reportedly made a move for Viktor Gyokeres despite winning the race to sign Liam Delap.
Manchester United's miserable season arguably hit a new low with defeat to ASEAN All-Stars in a post-season friendly, but have at least already secured a key attacking signing for next season in Matheus Cunha, who is set to finalise a £62.5m move from Wolves. Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes must decide on a move to Saudi Arabia before the end of the week.
Liverpool face late competition from Real Madrid for Florian Wirtz, despite submitting their first bid, reportedly worth €100million (£85m) plus add-ons, for the Bayer Leverkusen star. They are close to wrapping up deals for Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, though, and are ready to rival Chelsea for Frankfurt frontman Hugo Ekitike and have begun talks over an £84m deal. Possible Chelsea shirt number for Delap
If Liam Delap does make the move to Chelsea this summer, supporters will be interested in seeing what shirt number he is allocated.
At Ipswich, Delap has worn the number 19. At Chelsea, Sancho is in possession of that particular shirt number and could stick with it next season amid reports he could sign for the club on a permanent basis.
In this scenario, Delap would have to look elsewhere.
Interestingly, the number nine shirt at Chelsea is free and has been since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's departure.

New suitor for Joao Pedro
Joao Pedro is a player in demand this summer having been linked with moves to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle.
According to fresh reports, Aston Villa have now entered the race for the Brighton forward.
Unai Emery's side are targeting a replacement for Marcus Rashford who is being tipped to seal a move to Barcelona.

Wirtz and Frimpong to Liverpool update
Here is a significant development that will excite Liverpool fans regarding the club's pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen pair Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
According to German publication BILD, the latter has completed a medical and all that is missing is official word from both clubs.
As for Wirtz, it is claimed the attacking midfielder is 'about to' make the move to Merseyside despite late interest from Real Madrid.
Furhermore, it is stated that Liverpool want to have the deal finalised in time for Wirtz to go away with the German national team for UEFA Nations League duty on June 4.

Chelsea set conditions for Sancho deal
Chelsea have opened talks with Jadon Sancho's representatives about new contract terms.
Sky Sports claim that Chelsea would like Sancho to stay - but only if they can agree on contract terms which fit in with the wage structure at the club.
Sancho joined the Blues on loan from Manchester United last summer and now have a £25m obligation to buy.
However, they can pay United a £5m penalty to get out of the obligation to buy.

Isak twist
Eddie Howe wants to end any speculation regarding Alexander Isak's future at Newcastle once and for all.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window opening, though the Magpies - unsurprisingly - are keen to hold on to him.
So much so that Howe is on course to play a leading role in attempting to convince Isak to sign an improved contract.
Despite the fact that Isak still has three years left on his current deal, GIVEMESPORT claim there is a desire to persuade him to sign on the dotted line.

Arsenal close to agreeing Gabriel contract
More big news coming out of Arsenal tonight, this time regarding a current player.
According to the BBC’s Sami Mokbel, the Gunners are in advanced contract talks with central defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
The Brazil international, who missed the end of the season with a hamstring injury, sees his current deal expires in 2027 but Arsenal have been in discussions over new terms.
The report goes on to state that negotiations have accelerated with an agreement now close.

Liverpool 'knocking on the door' for Kubo transfer
Liverpool have already been linked with Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez on top of an expected deal for Jeremie Frimpong.
However, it would appear the Premier League champions have further plans to bolster their squad this summer.
According to Spanish paper AS, the are interested in signing Real Sociedad's Takefusa Kubo.
The Japan international has changed his agent ahead of the summer window after his side missed out on European qualification.
Kubo has a €60m (£50m) release clause in his contract and whilst Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested, Liverpool are 'knocking on the door' of the in-demand talent.

Man City schedule Milan meeting
After Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said the club hope to have many new signings in place before the Club World Cup, there has been a huge development regarding AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs had a meeting lined up for today to discuss a deal for the Netherlands international.
That said, whilst Milan are apparently in no rush to get the deal done, a sale is inevitable with Reijnders valued at €70m (£58m).

Arsenal and Chelsea get Rodrygo hope
New Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso revealed this week that the club "need" Rodrygo amid talk of a summer switch to the Premier League with Arsenal and Chelsea said to be closely monitoring the Brazilian's situation.
However, according to Spanish publication AS, Real Madrid have not officially communicated anything about the Brazilian’s future as of yet.
In addition, whilst Rodrygo has not asked to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, it is accepted that he would be an ideal player for the club to sell to help fund other transfers.
