Transfer rumours: Rodrygo, Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens are three in-demand wingers this summer

The summer window is ramping up with some major moves edging closer to completion. Arsenal have been handed a fresh boost over Rodrygo and they are said to have held talks for Noni Madueke, as well as making an offer for Cristhian Mosquera, who may have submitted a transfer request. The Gunners also want to sign Eberechi Eze and are poised to announce the arrivals of Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi to follow Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado after announcing Joao Pedro as they also prepare to seal the signing of Jamie Gittens. Manchester United have turned to Ollie Watkins after admitting defeat over Gyokeres, while a deal for Bryan Mbeumo could finally be wrapped up this week as speculation continues over Marcus Rashford’s future.

Marcus Rashford has his heart set on joining Barcelona next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The player has been frozen out at Man United after Ruben Amorim criticised his work rate in training, and has been excused from preseason training so as to find a new club.

Romano added today United ‘don’t count on him’.

Barcelona are expected to make a move after missing out on alternative wing target Nico Williams, who today signed a considerable extension with Athletic Club.

The two clubs reportedly disagree as to the player’s valuation, with Stuttgart holding out for around £70m, whereas Bayern are only keen to pay around £43m.

Leeds have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin after his Everton contract expired.

TalkSport report that the two parties were in talks, but that the player asked for too much money.

But Sky Germany add that he has also received offers from the Bundesliga as he chases the opportunity to play European football, though the report did not name any specific clubs.

Remember the name Tino Anjorin? The former Chelsea academy starlet has signed for Torino from Empoli on loan with an obligation to buy, subject to conditions.

Anjorin left Chelsea in 2024 with just five senior appearances under his belt, but served loans with Lokomotiv Moscow, Huddersfield Town, and Portsmouth.

He then joined Serie A side Empoli, making 22 league appearances as the Azzurri were relegated, but he has made the step back up to the top flight with Torino.

Jamie Gittens is in Philadelphia and will attend Chelsea’s Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras today, according to Ben Jacobs.

The player will soon complete a move from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea, with the move thought to be worth around £55m.

Dortmund confirmed the news in a statement today: “Borussia Dortmund's offensive player Jamie Gittens (20) is on the verge of a transfer to English Premier League club Chelsea FC. All parties involved agreed in principle on this today, Thursday, in Fort Lauderdale (USA). The contractual details are still being finalized.”
